Koni adjustables; what's a good baseline setting?

I'm in the process of installing a set of Koni adjustable shocks with H-sport springs. Can anyone recommend a stiffness setting to start with? Obviously I'll be playing around after the initial set-up, but I want to minimize the number of adjustments on the rear due to the labor involved.

Whoa! Don't you mean 1/4 to 1/2 turn from full soft? From full stiff will probably loosen the fillings in your teeth if you have any. I suggest 1/2 to 2/3 turn from full soft for a start.

Koni recommends you install them at full soft and go from there. I am using mine with H&R sports and initially set them at full soft. At that setting I found it to be pretty much identical to stock.

I wanted a bit firmer and settled at 3/4 turn from full soft in the rear and 1/3 from full soft in the front. Generally you want firmer in the back than the front as it reduces understeer, which is particularly important on an fwd car. I wouldn't go any firmer than a full turn from soft unless you're after an aggressive ride or plan on occasional track use. Most people find the sweet spot to be between 1/2 turn to 1 full turn from full soft anyways.

also it depends on your spring rate too! you need to macth the dampening to the spring rates to get good ride and feel.
