I was visiting the Yamaha FJR1300 forum and I noticed a bunch of the guys said they were "waiters." I wondered why so many "waiters" bought FJR's then I figured out they were the guy's with deposits down waiting for bikes. So though I have never been in the food service industry, I find that I too am now a "waiter." At least for about three more weeks, then I guess I'll be a haver.

 

I guess I am, too, a waiter. Just visited our dealer today for a fix - test driving yet another MCS. Bottom line - we're still waiting for production date. thanks to some other posts here we knew enough and asked about model year changeover. turns out our dealer got 3 May builds and NONE in June. We'll be an 05 July or laer. When we put down our deposit it was a 6-9 month wait. It's now 9-11. Glad we did it when we did.

 

I got word Friday that mine is getting on a boat Tuesday and will hit South Carolina on May 10th. I'm in Atlanta so hopefully it won't be too long after that that I will no longer be a waiter but a motorer.

 

I guess this, too, makes me a waiter...do I get tips along the way? I have a feeling the only tips I'll be getting will be the $.02 of everyone on NAM.

 

Wait... waiter.... waitress? Since I'm female?

But the tips here are very good! The more I read, the more tips I get!
