3 Spoke Multi Function Steering Wheel
Original Multi Function Steering Wheel

Which do you have, and which do you like more?

I went with the three spoke since it's new and different. It's als a little more retro.

Yeah, I thought it looked a little more retro too. Now all I have to do is wait another couple weeks for it to get here.

I'm happy with my two spoke and it might just be that bias that leaves me not liking the look of the three spoke. Discount this if I'm wrong, but aren't the sound system controls on the three spoke on the front? If so, an advantage of the two spoke is tricking people into thinking the sound system is actually programmed to respond to vocal commands.

I've never used the 3 spoke, but I don't think I'd like it as much as my 2 spoke MFSW. I LOVE the radio controls on the back side of the wheel.

I have the 2-spoke and I love it. I haven't seen a 3-spoke up close yet, but it looks like the buttons would be too small for my gargantuan fingers...lol

I've got the 3 spoker, and I love how it sets off the interior when I get in! The buttons are no problem to use, and they are on a pivot like switch, so you're not pushing a tiny button. I just think the 2 spoke looks like something out of a Ford, and, at the same time, looks just like the dashboard, which seems boring.
I'm kind of worried that the labeling on the buttons will wear off though.

I much prefer my Sport 2-spoke MFSW with perforated leather. It is a meaty and thick steering wheel and blends great with the interior. I much prefer the audio control buttons behind the spokes.

I have seen up and close the 3-spoke wheel and didn't care for it...looks cheap and straight out of a VW Beetle. And the MFSW 3-spoke I saw the other day, did not have perforated leather. This was on a '04 Cooper 5-speed with the Premium Pack. Also the Nintendo front buttons are questionnable.

For those who say that the original 2-spoke MINI steering wheel belong in a Ford, perhaps you need to get your eyes and heads checked at your nearest doctor. Most new Fords I have seen have either 3 or 4 spoke steering wheels.

I have the 2 spoke MFSW and love it. I don't care much for the look of the 3 spoke, but it wasn't an option when I got my 02.

FWIW, I ordered the 3-spoke simply b/c I prefer the way it looks.

After getting people to believe my two spoke has a sound system that's voice controlled I've even been able to scare people. After going through commands like "louder" and "change track" I've said "roll over". Two people now, albeit out of double digets, have momentarily freaked.

I prefer the 2 spoke, based on looks solely.

I'm still debating...I have probably one day to change my mind...

I have ordered the two spoke. Just because I think it would be more comfortable, with the buttons on the back, and I think I liked the logo better if I remember. I actually got to see the two diffrent kinds in the showroom. BUT, it's supposed to be the retro/different thing, right? So in that case, the three spoke may be better.

AND, I suck at Nintendo, and I didn't like the way the buttons looked like stickers. So that's why I initially choose the three spoke. But I still am thinking I may change. Aaaaaaargh!!!

I have the 3 spoke, I like the feeling of the hand-grips better. Only complaint? That I do not have a "mode change" button as on the 2 spoke...

While it may be true I need my head checked, I still think it looks like a Ford wheel :

I opted for the 2 spoke on my MCS as I felt the 3 spoke looked a bit 'light'...

The 2 spoke wheel has 10 button functions and I believe the 3 spoke has 8 (is this indeed true?) -

I also really like the grip of the 2 spoke sports wheel with perforated leather. But this is just my
preference and I can see why others might like the 3 spoke better....

2-spoke - stereo buttons more ergonomic, added "mode" button, horn buttons for thumbs (quicker response than central airbag cover horn), perforated leather perimeter for cooler and drier grip, bigger "10 and 2" ***** to hang onto.

3-spoke - looks hella better, Nintendo® style multi-function button pads (if that works for you), the current "new and exciting" option.
