Did first oil change on my wifes recent new purchase 06 mcs. Bought the oil change socket, drove it up on ramps etc..so simple. The drain plug was not on hard are re- torqued to 19 lbs and the oil filter housing same. No problems. Wife even said wow that was fast and easy. Lots of help on here for doing it first time for folks new to mini.
New airfilter and cabin filter also, she is good to go, may even sneek a drive myself soon..

 

Yep, it's a pretty easy oil change. Did you get the cabin filter at the dealer? If not, where?
