Pedal jack

Anyone have experience with the Pedal Jack for manual transmissions. I am considering a little additional security for our MINI. Thanks.

It can't hurt, but with the factory EWS (security computer), it's unlikely that your car will be 'hot wired' and driven away. If it's stolen, it'll be flat bedded, in which case the Pedal Jack won't do you any good.

Or six/eight friends might carry your car to a different parking spot to mess with you....opps, mini's now have plastic bumper covers! For the record, we once did this to a buddies VW GTI from the 80's with the chrome bumbers....we turned it 90° in his parking spot one night.....we were gonna ho 180°, but thought 90° was more noticeable.

With the chip system in the key (ews), i think you are fine....but honestly, anything you can do to make the car LOOK harder to take...
One thought....if you have had the ews deactivated, or bypassed, like is done for a remote starter install, might be worth it....but the thieves don't know....so i think in general, the mini is just not on the thieves list of hot-wireable cars....so we get a free pass...
