Those of you that did the IB dash - HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!?! I love it! Is that a replaced dash, or is that painted? Did you do it yourself or have someone custom do it?

P.S. I think I will leave the alloy patina...but thanks for those that voted anthracite. I just like the contrast of the alloy patina to the rest of the dark interior...

I had mine professionally painted the same time as the aero kit. Besides the front dash, the door trims are painted as well.

In the 2004 European accessories catalogue, painted dash trims (5 pieces) and painted down tubes are available. I'm not sure if they'll be available here in the US.

 

The dealership did my dash and just yesterday I found someone to paint my downtubes (finally). Can't wait!!

 

I also struggled with this and ended up with alloy and am pleased (CR/W). When I saw the anthracite in the bright sunlight I did not like the glittery look (but that is what alot of people do like about it. Go back to the dealer and look at them both closely in different lighting conditions....
