I live in Montreal, I see a few every day, within 5 blocks there at least 4 of them I see on a regular basis, one is full white, chili wr, pures br, brg br, all MC. Last week I was waiting for my daughter at school, two days ago one of her class told her that her mom bought one the next day she saw me at school chili wr.

I like to meet one on the road.

It is 'hit and miss' for me. Some weeks I will see 2 or 3. Then I can go weeks and not see any. I don't count the Minis for sale on car lots around town.
Motor On!!

Just driving around, I see about 1 or 2 a month.

This weekend there will be 30 MINIs at the Yalla Yalla (a new MINI rally I'm helping to organize here in Denver).

Noone here near Cleveland even knows what one is, even though there's the "The SUV Backlash Begins Here" MINI billboard on I-271 S. I honk at it when I pass it. Before I got Sprog, I saw a CR/W and a PS/B in town passing each other, and I also saw 1 LY/W one on campus (still see her now, but she never waves, must be someone else's car, she's obviously not a motorer!). Since I got Sprog, besides that one lady, the only other one I've seen was a CR/B with a roofrack that I stopped in the middle of the road to give a MiniOKI flyer to.

There is a pepper white w/black top that lives 7 blocks from me. Otherwise in the whole Seattle area there are only about 8-9 others I have seen since last spring. Interestingly, most are silver. I am unique among the unique with Indy blue! I like it that way so far!

I live in Delaware. The only MINI I ever see is my own. I know of at least 2 more in the area, but they must not get out much. I actually see classic Mini's more often here than the new ones.

Believe it or not, i have YET to see a mini outside of a dealship!!! I actually went to the fort lauderdale mini meet on september 15th and saw a bunch but i don't think that counts!! I have not once seen a mini driving down the road anywhere! My parents & my sister & her boyfriend are constantly telling me about minis they see at the store or driving down the road........ but i have never seen just a random mini driving down the street! It sucks!!!

i'm in the bay area and, lately, i've been seeing at least one every week. mostly different ones at that (along HWY 85 usually). i think the most popular colors of choice 'round here are chili reds and liquid yellows - seen at least 3 of each.

oh, and btw, a tenant in the apartment complex next to mine has a PS MCS. i'm green with envy, of course (that is, only until tomorrow when i get my LY MC )

Here in Mexico City, at least one or two a day, it's an amazingly popular car. Mostly Coopers, and there seems to be a lot of Pure Silver/black out there...

I hate to say it but I have a feeling the cooper will go the way of the beetle and the PT Cruiser. When they first came out they turned heads, now there are so many no one even gives a second glance. And at the value the MINI is set at, I have a feeling it will be less than a year before we stop getting looks and thumbs up. Oh well I guess if you want a head turner you got to get a car no one can afford like a lamborgini or prowler.

Over the past few months while enduring the wait for my MINI I have seen a total of 2 on the road (Toledo, Ohio). However, during a business trip last week to Munich, Germany I was amazed at the sheer number of MINIs all around. I'm sure I saw 50 in the two days I was there. I find that my Y/B MINI gets much more attention when parked in a lot than while driving ... I swear that I must be the only one who looks at the environment around me while driving!

In a week? Humh...in the past month, I have not seen any. I do believe there may be one other in the city, because some of my students have seen it. It's the "other" blue...

>>I totally agree with you. I kind of like the exclusivity of owning my Mini S. Was it like this when the new Beetle was released? You see them EVERYWHERE now. I hope the Mini doesn't go the way of the Beetle.
>>

No. The NEW BEETLE sold well over 100,000 the first year. MINI is only selling 20-25k a year in U.S.

I see 1 or 2 MINIs a day but I drive a lot. I actually see around 20-30 NEW BEETLES and 10-20 PT Cruisers everyday!!!

Yeah - parking lots are the best! Practically everyone who walks by stops and stares and looks inside!

I did get a honk and a few thumbs up, though. My MINI seems to get a lot more attention on the weekends. I think people are too busy during the week rushing to and from work to really notice.

I now realize how hard it is to acknowledge someone admiring your MINI. I mean, before I got mine, I always honked and waved at MINIs but many times their owners seemed to ignore me. Now that I have my car, I realize how hard it is to see people while you're driving. I'll hear massive honking but by the time I look around, the car has passed and they probably think I'm a **** for not responding. But it's tough to react in time b/c you're really caught off guard!

I was seeing about one a week in CT. But I have not seen another in about 2 weeks, the average is slipping.

It wouldn't matter to me since I boutght my MINI because I like it, not to please others. However, I think it will take a bit longer for the MINI to reach new beetle or PT cruiser levels since the MINI is still a limited item and the dealers are practically begging people to buy the other cars.

It depends on if I'm driving my MINI or my truck. When I'm driving my MINI, I never see another MINI. When I'm driving my truck, I see MINI's all over the place.

OMG!! Acetonic I just looked at your mini and its the EXACT same as mini. rally lights, stripes, color, wheels everything. I need to know though, how did you get a front plate like that? I havent recieved my mini yet but I thought we could only use standard plates.

I finally saw ONE! On my commute today, in Gilroy, CA., I passed an MCS going the other way. I hadn't seen another Cooper, on my commute, since I got my car in June so I was too startled to acknowledge him. The only other MINI's I've seen have been on the freeways (maybe 10 MINI's altogether). It was a nice surprise!

it may be because in the MINI you can't see around the trucks and in your truck you can see over all the MINI's

I have the same problem

Our DETROIT dealership has only been open a month. I went to MINI of Charleston (SC) to get my DS/W S - while I was on a business trip.

I finally saw my first "in-state" MC yesterday, but a co-worker just placed her order for a EB/W S...should land in December.

I still get lotsa looks
