CVT fluid color

I was checking the fluid level in my 2004 Cooper CVT, I noticed the fluid is very dark. Is this normal at 70k miles?

Needs changing, should be purple color -- change every 28,000 miles

Or more often. CVT's are very rough on their lubricant. Changing the lube more frequently than the factory recommends is the best thing you can do for your transmission.

fluid color RED!!

Just changed the tranny fluid in my 05 CVT. The old fluid was RED! Also, it did not appear to be dirty at all.

The Redline CVT fluid I put in was gold colored.

Any body making red CVT fluid?
