R50/53 Quick question. Where does this go?
Well I bought it since I needed motor mounts, we ruined them by jacking the engine and forgot to loosen that particular mount. I'm just a little confused because it doesn't look like the old one

I'd be willing to bet the same, probably one of those build dates on the cusp of the change, if you got it from Way, just give him a call & explain the issue, he'll take care of you.
Also, remember this for future reference, when buying parts or looking up stuff on RealOEM, use your vin as a starting point, not just the year of your car, this kind of stuff is why the parts mgr. at the dealer will always ask you if you have your vin #.
Haa, Haa, I replaced the motor in my GF's 3 series and don't know exactly what year car it came from, I'm constantly comparing parts & pictures on RealOEM whenever I need to fix something motor related.

Mine too... production date 2003 / 09. Chassis number TD74474. Is that close to yours?
This has been informative. Are there any other differences owners of late 2003 build date models should be aware of?
Thanks,
Tim

Yes. I've also got an '03 built '04MY with the older style mount. On the positive side, the earlier mounts didn't tend to puke their black guts all over the frame rail like the facelift model.
It's sort of hard to tell, there were different changes to different parts between different years, best thing you can do is use your vin whenever posaible when buying parts & use realoem to look up stuff if you think something may be off.
There are 2 things that are invaluable to Mini/BMW owners, realoem.com & Bentley Manual.
