R50/53 Retiree's Mini experience.
At 55, I retired last year after teaching and directing day camps for 30 years. Now I only work a few days a week. The Mini was a retirement gift to myself........and what a wonderful hobby it has become!
With days off I have loads of time to attend to keeping my Mini looking great, stop
at the dealer to have little things done, scoot around on errands during the day and
no work in the evening so I can check in on NAM whenever I feel like it. My only
frustration is that I have to wait for my grandaughter to be old enough for my daughter to let her drive in it with me.
My Mini is certainly a neat and welcome diversion during this stage of life!
Anyone else care to chime in?

Congrats! well I am 32 so I am still some 33 years away from "legal" retirement age, but plan to retire, hopefully, much earlier than that.
Both of my in-laws are teachers and both also retired in thier early fifties. My father in-law taught math for 35 years (And still does) and was a High School activities director for 17 years. My mother in law was an elementary teacher for 30+ years as well.
It seems to me that the teaching profession while rewarding and all, really wears down people at still a fairly young age!.
My in-laws don't have a MINI themselves but they do enjoy riding in our MINis every chance they get!.
Congrats on your new MINI and enjoy your well deserved retirement!

I retired from my "real job" a couple of years ago but I still run my business. Don't have as much time as I would like to have but I love my MCS and go on drives as much as possible.
