Randy Webb - had a shop for aftermarket work on MINIs and Lotus also, and an
internet store and site complete with a MINI and a Lotus forum, and a vendor on here, and
I believe went to MINI runs and gatherings to do pulley installs, etc. but packed it up
several years ago in favor of his regular job, which I believe is as a pilot.
He originally sold this fancy looking adjustable rear sway bar, which someone else is now
selling, but also was involved in many other facets of MINI tuning.
Someone correct me if I'm remembering anything wrong.

Randy Webb was what I'd call a 'plankowner' in the MINI tuning world. I tried to pull up real old posts about him but search is only going back to 2007 ... but even in 2007 there were threads about "hiring" Randy to come to an area where he'd install mods for folks. Most often these were called 'pulley parties' because the supercharger pulley change was the game changer starting not long after 2002's hit the street. This grew to crank pulleys, exhausts (he had his own for a while according to threads here) suspensions bits. I attended one in the Norfolk area in 2004 or so and folks came from DC and Baltimore to get bit put on their cars. If you use 'advanced search' and look for Randy Webb - I found 488 posts - you can glean information from those....

This is the Tarrett rear sway bar designed and built by him. Randy was the first to offer it to the MINI public and had some distributor agreement with Tarrett. It is extreemly high quality and IMHO the best rear bar offered. It has an infinately adjustable range and comes with adjustable endlinks.
It is still available direct thru Tarrett Mfg.

I had the pleasure to meet him at one of his "pulley parties" in Lewiston, NY. He installed a 15% pulley on my car. Great guy; very friendly and approachable, and extremely giving of his time to the MINI community. I'd concur that he's one of the founding fathers of MINI tuning, despite the fact that he got out of the game a few years back. He was also very good at building and racing MINI racing cars, too. Near the end of his MINI life, I would guess that he was simply being pulled in too many directions, traveling across the country to put on these pulley parties to help us MINIacs squeeze more power out of our cars. All the while, trying to run an aftermarket parts business (Webb Motorsports), a racing program, and get his commercial pilot career going. Something had to give. He chose the pilot's life. I'm glad to have had the chance to have him wrench on my car, and wish him well.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I think I might've found one of his creations. From what I can apparently see physically and feel/hear...the obvious ones are exhaust (Miltek sp?), intake (Alta), BBK, suspension (HR/Eibach it appears), safe to assume pulley, not sure about headers/clutch.
My question is...what exactly did Webb sell? Were they packaged as kits? or sold individually like Dinan parts? Any labeling on the parts whatsoever?
Thanks in advance for the responses guys!

Thanks!! I found him on FB and sent him a pm. There were a few mini pics on there and a slight mention of Webb Motorsports so I figured that was him. Sounds like a great guy.
So, in terms of the car I found...it's an 05 with 77k miles on it with what the dealer said Webb worked on but could not give further details...asking price is ~$12k. Perhaps take it to a Mini dealer for a PPI.
Here's a crappy cellphone pic I snapped...

Ditto for me, here's another post in appreciation for Randy Webb and what he did for the MINI community. I attended a pulley party in St. Louis way back in 2003/2004 timeframe, got the 15% pulley, Alta CAI and NOLOGY wires. Somewhere I've got a whole ton of pictures of that gathering -- I think he did somewhere around 15 cars that day.
