tire width

right now im on s-lites with a 17/215 hankooks, but im looking for a stretched tire look, and dont want to have to buy new tires, and was wondering if anyone is running 9" wide tires. it wud prob rub, but maybe after some adjusting or certain offset?

Stretch tire look is personal preference, I suppose, but it a bad idea from a performance standpoint. Tires are made to fit certain size rims, based on the particular tire and it's size. Going beyond what the tire manufacturer recommends not only voids any warranty you have on the tires, but also puts you at risk for failures like the tire separating from the rim while cornering, with the result being instant and complete tire deflation and loss of control of your Mini. Have that happen at the wrong place or time and the results could be catastrophic.

Stick with the tire's recommended wheel widths.
