R50/53 Hyper Blue ???
Well I now have a 05 MINI S on order and I have 2 weeks to make changes to it. I wanted Indi Blue but that is no longer available. So now I am stuck and need help. Does anyone have a pic of Hyper Blue? If so please post it. My dealer is trying to find a pic of it as well. Its sad that they will drop a great color like Indi Blue and then not let you know what all the new colors look like. Thanks in advance for any help.
Sorry dude, I haven't seen it either. You may try contacting Paul Mullet, web site owner and administrator over at http://www.mini2.com. He is based in the UK and has a lot of contacts with BMW/MINI people...perhaps he has seen it and may be able to give you a rough description.
Only thing I have been told, the new blue is supposed to be nicer and ricjer looking than the current Indy Blue, which I think it is still a pretty gorgeous color.
Best of luck.

It's hard to imagine a nicer blue than indi blue. I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised, though.
The only new color that I've seen pics of is the blackeye purple, which is the one on the cabrio at the Bridger link.

I am extremely suprised that your dealer would make you finalize the details on your MINI in 2 weeks when the order won't placed until a month before your build date. How can you pick your options when all the details haven't been released yet?
That's just crazy!

well, i was saving my first post for something a bit more important but I guess this'll have to do...
that blue from the auto show is nowhere near as attractive as the indi blue. I of course am a bit biased as I just ordered an Indi Blue Cooper S for myself yesterday.
ps. Looking at a late May/early June delivery date.

Again, correct me of I'm wrong, but I think you're referring to the blackeye purple, which is sort of a lavenderish blue. I hope this isn't the color that Cooper4us is referring to.

I ordered my 2004 MCS on January 26th, 2003, exactly 9 months before the start of production for the '04 model year. At the time the dealer had no idea about the price hikes and equipment changes expected for the 2004. I configured my MCS based on 2003 specs and pricing. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my '04 MCS was only going to be $39 more expensive than the same car under the '03 model year.
Everything worked out to perfection. Most dealers can configure a new order way, way in advance to the actual start of production.

I haven't seen pics of theis new rumored "Hyper Blue". This is not to be confused with the new "shark blue" that will be exclusive to the cabrio models along side the new hot orange metallic paint scheme.

Did they tell you that you needed to finalize it all at that time? 9 months before your order was placed?
It's been a while since we have been on that long of a wait... but I remember we allowed people to make changes up to the point where the MINI was scheduled for production.

Oh no, I was not required to finalize the order at all. My dealer was clear as to allow me to make changes until the time production was started for the car. My dealer also has a policy that allows you to back out of the car completely (Full deposit refund) even if you change your mind while the car is sitting at the showroom.
I have bought 2 new MINIs from them, so I was not required to leave a deposit for my MCS order when I went it for the second time.

>>My dealer was told the new price will be 3 to 5% more than the 04. My quest continues for a pic of Hyper Blue. Someone on MINI2 made a post saying its close to BMW's Pacific Blue.
If it is the "Pacific Blue" I have seen before in BMW 325 and 330 coupes, I think it is a very beautiful color. It looks great on the Bimmer, but I can't pictured it quite yet on the MINI.
