Off the line power

Is this normal in an R50? I've got practically no power until I hit a certain rpm (can't remember where exactly, maybe 3000 or so).

But it also seems to be a dog until I get out of 1st gear. Now I know it's not a S or anything, but it just seems way too slow off the line.

I don't mean to be rude, but if you're launching it make sure you have the traction control turned off and try to eliminate wheel spin by varying gas-pedal pressure.

Also, when it's a dog below 3K is the dsc/asc light flashing?

Not rude at all. Good questions.

Dsc is turned off.

It's an automatic (well cvt). And if I just stop on the gas pedal off the line it just feels like it takes forever to get anywhere until it hits about 3000 rpms. But if I'm on traffic and moving already, if I stomp on the pedal (lane change or something) it zips along.

I have done a few things to it so far hoping to fix the problem:

Cai
New ngk plugs
New ngk plug wires
New msd ignition
Changed oil and filter
(So general tune up with a cai)
