Personally, I would NEVER own a dark colored car again. As much as I love the BRG look, it will be virtually impossible to keep clean. Shows every swirl, rock chip, dent, ding, etc. Dark colored paint is also softer because of the pigments used to give the color. White is the toughest because it contains titanium. I say go for it though. You will not be happy if you choose something else because of practicality.

I went with solid BRG. At first I had ordered white top and bonnet stripes, but thought that combo might not stand the test of time. I wish it was non-metallic, though.

There really isn't that much Titanium in most white paints. The color in the pgment part may be true but metallic paints are totally different. The clear coat is what really matters and makes a difference with scratches. Any scratch that goes through the clear coat is going to go into any color paint.

Get BRG/W!

IMHO, MINIs should be proper colors, not creepy metallic tones like European sedans.

>>>>>>I came down to the very same 2 choices when ordering my new s recently. I went with ds/ds for a couple of reasons, but it was close. If the mini brg was "real" - ie. non-metallic and of the proper tone - I would have gone for it without question. But while it looks nice on a cloudy day, once the sun is out, it looks, well... it just doesn't work for me. ds, on the other hand...

>>>>Hmmm....I've been going back and forth on the PS and DS....after seeing this post....I'm leaning more towards the DS....

countrym, I did go back & forth between the blues...but perhaps the creepy metallics were just more my style in the end !!!

It makes complete sense...

I got me the BRG/W, and have never looked back. A nice contrast with the smoked tail lights/reflectors. Plus, as everyone knows, BRG ALWAYS hides a few ponies!

Is that Dark Silver of Pure Silver? The lighting makes it looks like my Pure Silver MC.

It looks kind of like your Pure Silver car, only much cooler, because it's Dark Silver.

The BRG/W with the Union Jack sunroof or full roof flag is fantastic! It's a classic British combo and one I still love to see on the road. If you go with Dark Silver, I prefer the contrasting roof color, either black or white. If DS/W, it looks really sharp with white rims. Oh dear! I hope I haven't added to your indecision! I think either way, you'll be very happy!

This is an easy one. DO NOT buy the BRG with White roof. They are bug ugly and likely to depreciate a lot further than any other color combination. I would buy anything but that, trust me I know and I will forever regret my fateful choice........
