2006 R50 getrag 5 speed transmission fluid capacity

I am looking to change my 2006 R50's transmission fluid with Redline MTL. I cannot seem to find how many quarts are needed? This is the 5 speed getrag. Any help would be appreciated!

Thx
-A

I have the 5-speed Getrag. I bought 2 bottles of Redline and used about 1.75 of it so 2 quarts will do you fine. You fill till it overflows, so can't really tell you exactly how much will go in.

Thanks Thom! How is your getrag holding up? Did the mtl make a difference?

Oooooo, that's a question you really didn't want to ask. I think the diff is shot and the transmission needs replaced (131K miles). I'm getting a shaking that I can't lose and now it's getting a loud rubbing sort of sound (I think a bearing) I can still drive it, but I am not until I am taking it to the dealer to have the work done. If the diff wasn't part of the trans, I think I'd be fine, but it's a sort of sealed unit and cheaper to replace the entire thing than to try to rebuild (I've heard that from multiple sources)

But to answer your question: It does help to put new fluid in. It gets real smooth.

The good is that I have to get in there because the clutch is still the stock unit. I'll have the clutch / trans / rear main seal done at the same time.
The bad is that it's going to cost me about $3500 to have that done.

I'm past the point of no return as I've already done Koni FSD shocks, tie rods, new wheel bearings, a rebuilt drive shaft (right side) and a bunch of other work. I figure I'll be good for another 6 years once the trans is done.

I'm sorry to hear about that!

I've only got 35K on the clock, so I should be OK for a while.

What do you have? I'm always intrigued by 2005-2006 R50s with the getrag. I feel they are a rare breed, since an automatic was available on both the R53s and R50s those years, and manual drivers would be more likely to opt for the R53.

EDIT: i just looked through your gallery, and noticed you have a beautiful hot orange r52!!! I would keep her too I saw you also took a trip to Marco Island. My father has a home there - it is quite the peaceful place.
