New MINI owner -- starting it off with a Cross Country Trip
Hey guys,
Just got my 2003 Cooper S last week with 66K on the clock -- 68K now.
Picked up the car in Oakland, CA on Friday the 10th -- drove immediately to Miniwerks in San Marcos for some much needed maintenance items:
New Pads and Rotors all around, and the infamous A-Arm bushings, filters, oil change etc.
While the car was under the knife; ended up having the Craven Speed 15% reduction pulley installed.
Had business meetings in Fresno and LA so took off down the way: got her a bit dirty as I visited a few farms (business related).
Looking forward to a great new toy and epic road trip back.
Have a picture of the car sitting on a dirt path after following the crew into the fields -- everyone was quite impressed as to how well I took the dirt/gravel roads. I made sure to avoid as many potholes as I could and took the other ones slow. It took a lot of dusting but handled it well. Don't worry I got it cleaned right after we finished for the day.
I'll update the post as I hit different cities/states. Try to sneak the MINI into the picture here and there.
