So installed the DT BPV and injectors today....and had to start with this, fine home brewed beer....

and i am not all the impressed with the dt bpv it just feels like the vgs mod but a bit less agressive, boost level is the same so leads me to think i may have a leak someplace. probably the boots not sealing well.

I had to unistall the injectors per another thread and god was it a pain in the but to get the injectors out! the injector bodys and rusted up and made them selves stick to the manifold. the orings were stuck of course too. it was such a pain.

it was misfiring on cyl 1, 3, 4 and also told me cyl 4 injector signal error. and it took forever to crank over i primed the rail a few time then cranked and cranked and cranked then it started to stumble to life. then it was just misfiring and probably due the fuel not being sprayed at the valve.

also another thing is the holes in the injector don't line up in a row. so i think they are just spraying at the bridge or the walls. they were all crooked and not perfectly horizontal like the stock ones. if these dont work out im gonna just try to buy a set of real jcw injectors from rockauto. and if i can return these or sell them. to some vw guys.

the stock ones were stuck...the 380s i had bought didnt work. it may have been because of user error though. i didnt want to play with it at the time because i needed to get home, ill leave it for another day so put the stock inj back in. so no it did not get sorted, ugh.....

here is a what i had to say before if you missed it

Mine is at the shop, we're replacing the clutch as-well (The sprintex is to much for the old clutch, started slipping as soon as i put my foot down), i'll see if i can pick up any tips..

how much power do you think you are making? i had just replace mine with a oem one back in the spring. and if it cant hold 250whp im just gonna get a lightwight flywheel bette clutch and a very much needed LSD. actually the LSD is number one on my list.

Go with the Valeo. Lighter effort and single mass = smoother shifting and reduced drive line lurch and slack. Mine doesn't show a hint of slip at ~250whp.

With no other mods, the Spintex bumps the stock engine up to 197hp, or thereabouts, the old clutch couldn't handle it. I've been told, once everything is on and the engine tuned, it'll make 260 at the wheels. Not Sure of the torque, Later this week we're gonna put in a Spec stage two clutch with a "Phantom Grip" LSD.. One of the guys over here who's put one in, took me for a spin in his car, Pretty cool!! considering it's a third of the price of the dedicated LSD's, it does a great job. The car just felt "Connected" if you know what i mean, mind you, he's running a stage 4 clutch, so that could account for the connected feeling.. He's had the phantom grip in his car for a couple of years with the stage 4 clutch with no problems, that was enough to convince me to get the phantom grip. besides the price.

why on gods green earth would you put a spec clutch in your car...if you are spending this amount of money of parts why not just put an OS Giken GT clutch in?

is this response to me?

i did not get a new fly wheel and clutch becasue i needed one right away and for cheap. i had already spend a grand on other things while i was replacing my transmission. besides i wont be making that kind of power for a long time. i still need to complete my exhaust system, get a bigger IC, get my injector sistuation worked out. maybe get a cam then a tune. and thats going to happen over hte course of the next year or two. besides the oem clutches can handle quite a bit if new i suspect stokers has some heavy mileage on it

it was in response to stoker...honestly if i was going to undertake a build this big i would budget for the best parts bar none rather than spend all this money but skimp out on important things like clutches...besides...i would like a clutch/lsd to be a one time install and not something i have to revisit in a year or so when the cheaper one i put in there burns out...

While I'm not trying to convince you get a Spec S2, But... the flywheel is light enough that you can flip it with your fingers!! Not sure about the Gieken but, i bet it's pretty much the same...It's 11.5 pounds with a replacable surface…. pretty amazing, compared to the dual mass stock clutch weighing in @ 37.5 pounds.. It's like: i just took a cooler full of ice and beer out of the back of the car..

bought all new IC clamps becasue one of mine broke. im gonna kep the old ones as back ups. the old ones are really frail, 11 years of hot to cold and the elements does wonders for cheap cast aluminum.

also gonna give the injectors one last chance if they dont work im gonna return them.

yes it is the cold side. i have two hose clamps wrapped around it for now. i didnt have one long enough so i used two. i had one that was just barely too short. and to be honest i think hose clamps would probably do a better job. if you can get them long enough.

wow musician... lots of audio equipment.
