Selling mini

I think I'm going to sell the mini. But it needs brakes and tires plus the passenger seat is broken.

Am I better to fix them then sell or sell a s is?

IMHO, I would fix those items before putting your MINI up for sale. The reason is that potential buyers will always over estimate the cost to repair, and therefore, subtract off too much from their offer.

It'll be easier to sell if they are fixed.

Fix the seat or else be ready to price it at the bottom of the price range. As to brakes and tires, it depends. If tires are past worn indicator and the brake light is on, you have to get the work done. As a used car buyer I would rather get a car that needs brakes and tires soon so I can pick what I want as opposed to having new underporforming parts that I would not have picked.

If you don't fix any of the mentioned items, don't expect to sell it soon and get a reasonable amount from the sale. Buyers will run from a "bundle" of issues unless it's priced at bargain basement prices. And/or will subtract the cost of fixing from your asking price.

As others mentioned, fix it and get the most $$$ out of it you can.

See my response to your post yesterday about the seat.
IMO, don't do the brakes and tires. Let the new owner decide what they want. If they are a DIY person, brakes can be done for $200+. If not, they can be $800 at the dealer. Tires can also be a $400 - $1K deal, depending on the tire. IMO you won't get $1K more with new tires and brakes.
