R50/53 mirror covers
mirror covers
Tried to pull them off to paint white. I broke all the mounts on the inside that hold them to main mirror. Can I buy new covers and can I get white ones. Where ?
p.s. still working on removing the wing, any more ideas

I'm sure you can order them through your MINI dealer.
Have you asked them yet?
I change mine twice a year, between black and chrome, and I just pull firmly and quickly straight back. Even being careful, I have broken one of those 'mouths' off the mirror cap, but it seems all the same with one less grip.

Or you can post a WTB here on NAM.

Not to be mean but do you *really* want to try removing the wing? ..because you just broke all the mounts on the mirror caps so I'm forseeing similar scary results when you do get the wing off. From what I read, that wing is a total pita too. Body shop may only charge ~$75 to remove simple stuff like this for you. May seem like a waste of money but its definitely cheaper than what new parta from the dealer are going to be running you now- I garauntee that!
