I need help!!! PLEASE HELP~

HI ,

Anyone has any recommendation on autoshop for tune up for MINIs.?

My 05 R53 is now 58000miles.... 2 weeks ago, under the hood started to have weird noise. It sounds like "knoc...knoc... knoc...~~", and some noise sort of like from the supercharger, or the belts.... while i accel , the noise (sound like the belt is tearing). And when I have my AC on, I drove for about 10-15 mins. The service engine light , traction light , EML light are ON. The car wasnt able to go up to 15 MPH unless I shut it down, and start up again with AC off.

Does anyone here know what the head is going on with my mini? Mad worry, may need to spend few K on fixing it.

Thanks for all the help!

hard to recommend a shop 'til you tell us where you are (maybe put it in your profile or sig?)

could be your a/c compressor is going or gone and it putting a big drag on the belt, and amybe now you have a damaged belt. Know where to look to see?

Sounds like it could be your crank pulley coming apart. A known issue with our cars. If it is that check into getting an ATI crank pulley.

Your engine is in "limp mode". Suggest you open the hood and look to see if you have a serpentine belt left. Has it been changed before? The belt could've failed, the belt tensioner could've failed, any number of things. Before you do any more damage, get an experienced MINI person to look at it.

My crank pulley just came apart about a month and half ago with those very symptoms. I had about 51,000 miles on it then.

thanks for all the response guys...I had never changed any of the belt , and pulley before. I bought a 15% S.P , 2% C.P ,and the belt. My mini is at the autoshop right now. Hopefully my AC compressor have no problem. As my mechachic said, it is quite expensive for even a refurbrish one from dealer. I will keep post once I have my ride back.

Thanks all~
