R50/53 Where does this go to?
Where does this go to?
I am so confused as to where this plug goes its part of the engine wire harness and comes right off next to the battery oh this is a cooper non s
Do you have any trouble lights on? or anything else not working? Being in that close proximity to the master cylinder I'd wonder if it is a fluid level sensor connector or something of the like.
Some cars have extra plugs for equipment that they aren't optioned for, it makes part proliferation a little less for the number of harnesses needed.

No trouble lights or codes that i can see, it doesnt appear to be anywhere on the cylinder that it would plug it into, it must be an option then... It does kind of look like the the aux cables in the hatch side panels
I have a 2002 non-S, and have the same plug just dangling as well. I didn't buy the car new so I'm not sure if it's supposed to go anywhere, either. No codes or lights showing. I've done quite a lot of work in the engine bay and haven't been able to find a corresponding socket for it.
Me too. And I've had my battery out (for other reasons) and really searched.
My car is a 2002 R50 manual trans, with DSC and sunroof. No other electrical options that I can think of, such as cold weather package, Xennons, Nav, etc.
I'm not at all worried about it. I see this all the time with cars. I was only concerned in the beginning, because I noticed it upon reassembling car after transmission swap, and thought I might have left something undone. If anyone knows what would connect to this, though, I'm curious.
