Now, xenon headlights are not auto-levelling. Turn the lights on and they are pointing about six feet on front of the car. Any way of testing/repairing??

 

When I bought my car, my left headlight was the same way. It took me a bit to figure out how to do it, but I had to push the whole assembly back back onto the little ball-end of the ball-and-socket joint for vertical adjustment. Make sense? The vertical adjustment holds the assembly in place, and this had popped out, allowing the headlight to flop about. However you do it, be careful: there's lots of VERY expensive plastic in there.
