does bad PS pump turn on Alternator light
When I started my 03 R53 (194000 miles) this morning the power steering didn't work and the alternator light was on.
Does the alternator light normally come on when the PS pump goes or do I have 2 problems?

The alternator was bad. A new one from Parts Depot was $ 155 + tax. I replaced the serpentine belt @ $ 18 + tax. The Bentley manual paid for itself.

BTW the rebuilt alternator ($ 80 core) was "Made in the USA"
