LED Load Resistor...

I decided to go green LED's on my parking lights. And when I start the car up the parking lights will flash. They say it's because I need a load resistor. Does anybody know or have a DIY on how to install one? I never spliced any wires before!

Thanks,

Eric

I know you already bought those bulbs, but I wouldn't start spliceing for just that, yiu can either find 2 194 dummy plugs (plugs w/o the bulbs, one male & one female) and make yourself some jumpers with a resister built in.

Or

Try here:
http://www.autolumination.com/
And get bulbs designed with the resistors built in or a regular colored bulb.

I can't picture how you would securely mount a dummy plug in the parking light housing.

BTW, you should check whether green lights are legal.

Would be better to just get 'no error' LEDs from a reputable vendor. But green parking lights? Really? They don't just flash when you unlock the car, they will be lit up green any time the lights are on which likely is illegal in north america so expect the possibility of a ticket.

Reminds me of the guy in my neighborhood with a Toyota Sienna minivan than has stick on side vents, toyota lit up LED badge, LED windshield washer jets, etc... but to each his own I guess.

Yeah, they might be cool while they are on but that is begging for a ticket. I am a fan of the white LED's to high light areas around the car like the license plate holder or near the floor areas under the dash inside. Just me though.
