What to look for
Welcome all, I am new to the board and am looking at buying my first MINI!
I'm looking at two 05 MCS both with 47,000 Miles on Monday. I figured the smartest thing to do was ask you all for advice on what to look out for when buying a used MINI. I have wanted a MINI since '02 when they came out and my friend got one. Love at first sight. Due to a recent auto accident, (lady ran a red-light and t-boned me, flipping my car) I am now in the market for a car.
I really want a standard, but I barely know how to drive them. I've only driven one manual transmission car in my life, a '76 MG Midget that I restored with my Dad when i was younger. So, it's been nearly five years since touching a standard transmission. I'm a little nervous about doing a test drive..
