02 MC PS/Battery
Hey all
Hate to beat a dead horse, 02 MC Battery light and PS issues.
Had a failed pump, AC and Battery, all replaced (used ps pump). Car worked great for a couple days, then when the car would start battery light would be on, rev it up to 2k and it would turn off and stay off until you shut car off for 3 plus hours. now the light stays on. battery measures great at idle, battery is tested.
You think this pump is bad? Also off the alternator there are two wires that make a connection at the head to a three wire connector, anyone know what the third wire is?
Any comments would be helpful

Hey Zippy, thanks for the reply. The Alternator was dead (voltage regulator shot) and killed the battery that got replaced, three weeks later the power steering pump died. I got one at a wrecker. Put it in, ran fine for a few days. Then the battery light would come on during start up but shut off as soon as you rev'd above 2k rpm and stay off. now it just stays on.
The charge during normal idle is 13.8V which I can't see any issue with so trying to figure out if maybe the new (used) pump is dead or how the ECU detects the battery/charge issue triggering the battery light. I assume either pump is bad, or ECU thinks charging is bad and is turning off the pump. need some ideas please.
