R50/53 When driving your MINI, have you ever been pulled over by co

Hmm... What have I done illegal in my Mini.
Well, I was driving through town and wanted to make yellow light before it turned red. Hit someone trying to cross the street. Not too bad, just knocked him down. I looked in my rear view mirror and he was getting up, so I don't think it was too bad. Luckily I didn't get pulled over for that (no cops around).
Another time, I did get pulled over for speeding. Had like two bricks of marijuana in the trunk. Luckily the cop never looked in the trunk. I did get a ticket for speeding, but nothing for the drugs. Sure beats the whole trouble of getting arrested and having to call my first ex-wifes mother to bail me out. I have to call her because no one else in the family will talk to me. Plus she is rich, she has a double wide trailer, so she can afford to get me out.
A friend and I were in my Mini driving home after doing some cow tipping and saw a trooper outside of Ma's Kitchen, a small diner in town. We thought it would be cool to throw a bad of dog poop on his car. So we went back to my second cousin's house, who has a Great Dane. Scooped up some poop, put it in one of them Krispy Kreme donut bags and headed back to the diner. Drove right by and splatted the car. I could have kicked myself. No sooner had we released the bag, when the head lights came on. Dad gum it! The crazy cop was already in the car. So I stepped on the gas, when his lights came on to try and chase us. To make a long story short those Koni's and rear sway bar, helped us in the twisties, but I ran out of gas only 4 miles down the road. Anyway, two weeks in jail and 80 hours of community service really stunk. Good thing I didn't have a job or they would have canned my butt.
Never done any of that tinted window thing (want the chicks to see me in the car), or remove the front license plate (didn't want to risk getting pulled over) that you are talking 'bout. But I have done a few potentially illegal things. Not too proud of them. I'd never want my kids to try something like this. I'd tell them too, except my third wife ran off with my first wife's second cousin and the kids. Haven't heard from them in five years. Guess I am telling you this so y'all don't try some of this stupid stuff.
The Mini does still rock though!!!!!
Uh, yeah...
Well, I got pulled over by a cop in Manalapan NJ on rt 33 once. He seemed determined to give me a ticket - it was the last day of the month, and he probably had a quota to meet. Pulled me over and said I was going pretty fast. So I un-do my seat belt with him standing there watching, and pull out my wallet to get my license. I told him I thought I was doing the limit, and asked him how fast did radar say I was going - but I got no answer. Then he said he would have to give me a ticket for not wearing my seat belt! I explained that I just unbuckled it with him watching me - again, no repsonse. He took my lic, reg, ins card and went back to his car. Came back with a ticket for "obstructed view" because I had a soccer ball hanging from my rear view mirror. I paid the $40 fine, and now I make sure I stay away from that area near the end of the month...
What a putz...

Past a NY State Trooper doing 75 on the Southern State (50 MPH zone) and as I wizzed by him I think I just shocked him, he kinda looked at me and I looked at him and I kept going...although with old glory across the roof...there may be a law against him giving a rolling American Flag a ticket! I also got pulled over and the cop said oh I thought you were some young guy driving thru town...I'm in my 40's so I don't know if I should be thankful or pissed?

After only 1 1/2 weeks of ownership, I got my first speeding ticket in 20 yrs. 49 in a 35 zone. I think the cop just wanted to see the car. Last cop that gave me a ticket got crushed by a truck on his motorcycle.
I once had a friend who was a city council member. And the first year that he participated in the city budget, he was very surprised to see how important the entry "Municipal Court" contibutions were in generating funds to help keep local taxes down.
My friend lived in a state that required front lic. plates and that was almost an automatic ticket and 'contribution' to the local budget if you got caught without one - no excuses worked!
The local officers knew of their valuable community service. There wasn't any quotas, but mental records of performance were alleged.
So my friend told me.
