Yes, I know, it's everybody's favorite part to talk about.

My issue is this... the top curved plastic cover that sits on top of the pillar trim has fallen off on both sides of my windshield. My local import mechanic has told me you cannot just replace those pieces, but rather fork over $160 (or so) to replace the entire pillar trim, which according to him comes with the top plastic covers.

I can take photos for clarification if needed. What have you all done in this circumstance? Should I rely on them and just eat the poop-sandwich and replace the whole piece on both sides?

 

I'm waiting to obtain that curved piece from a parted out car. I've been told it's a hot item, so you are not the only one in this situation, if that makes you feel any better.

 

I know, but it looks soooooooooooo sloppy and terrible with them *both* missing... =(

 

At least you have a symmetrical look, where mine looks lopsided.

 

$160 gets you all 4 A and C pillar covers from the dealer, at least in Charlotte.

 

Would you pay $160 for that when all you needed was a four inch piece of curved plastic?
