R50/53 Current wait time to get a mini?

My local dealer told me last November that if I ordered one, I would get it in May '04. I have since bought one from Mini of the Hamptons. They have a pretty good selection of cars in stock. the S MSRP has recently gone up $450.00 If you buy one in stock you may be able to avoid the new price increase but you will have to pay $500 for shipping. this is what I did and for a net difference of $50.00 you may find just what you are looking for and be motoring in just a couple of weeks.

Classic MINI posted today that they were offering in stock MINI's $500 BELOW msrp. It was the first time I have seen a public announcement of MINI's below msrp

Where are you?
How far will you go to get it?
Will you take the one in stock, color, options, MC, MCS?
and, What will you pay?
