Sport seat sag

I've loved my MINI for over 5 years now. Got my 06 MC with the sport seats, and I'm afraid the driver's seat is starting to sag.

Yes I've put on a pound or two since then. The problem is that the seat is getting to be uncomfortable. I have it raised all the way, and my bum is sagging down to where I can feel the "bar" against my rear, a couple of inches below my belt line.

(I also have Heated seats.) Is this a common complaint? Can the seat be reupholstered safely? Is there a lumbar boost I can place down there, on top of the seat? I love my car and driving it is always a blast! "But" being aware of the discomfort diminishes the joy. If anyone has a suggestion to share I'll be most grateful. When this happened with my old (pre-owned) acura, I swapped the driver seat with the passenger seat! Don't reckon I'll luck out on that method again...

You could do a couple of things.....take the seat to an upolsterer and have them repad it would probably be the easiest.

Find a newer seat in a salvage yard and replace yours - you might have to have the dealer reflash the computer because of the airbags....I don't know about this tho.

If it's only the bottom that's worn, you might be able to swap the lower parts of the seats, but the uppers have air bags in them, you don't want them in the wrong place.

Take a look under the seat. The supporting mesh/belts must be broken and the foam is sagging with little or no support. Should be easy to fix.
