R50/53 Newbie...
Newbie...
I just wanted to say hey. I have an 03 Cooper S and I love it. It has been out of commission since Nov of last year. I had a low oil pressure problem and had no Idea. So, it lost the #1 cylinder crank rod bearing. I have since purchased a 2006 cooper s motor from gotengines.com and finally got it installed. Had some issues with the install, mainly the ACT clutch and the wiring of the starter.
So I spent the day driving it around and man have I missed my coop!!!! I really love this car. I installed prosport boost gauge and an oil pressure gauge, but the oil pressure gauge is not working. I have installed a mechanical oil pressure gauge that resides under the bonnet (hood, Love Top Gear) and it is showing 20-40 PSI. I am going to see about getting a new gauge from the shop that I got it from.
Well, I am glad to have it back and will be on these boards for help and advice as I like to tinker.
