I'm planning on ordering a new Mini Cooper S around May. I think I'll order it in red with black roof and black bonnet stripes. The options that I think I'll get are the MFSW and the S-Lites with performance tires.

Too bad they just increased the price by $500, though. :???:

lol, better get your order if before they crank up the price even more!

now, for the real question: do you want the 2-spoke or 3-spoke steering wheel? I'd say ex-nay on the "boat anchors" and save up for some lightweight wheels and stickier tires than the OEM Pirelli Euforia's. Also, the R85's may not be offered by the time you order, since MINI is in the process of rotating some of the wheel designs.

Good call on the color combo - CR/B rocks!

yeah, don't bother with the s-lites because they are so heavy. they sort of make sense if you're getting everything else inthe sport package, but otherwise look to the aftermarket for wheels.

my 1st choice was red/red or red/black, but those colors got vetoed

I'm definetly getting the 2 spoke wheel, it's awesome. I think the stock tires'll be fine. How can they be heavy if they're called S-LITES?
