I am looking for a dealer, preferably in the West, who can take a custom order for a MCS and deliver it quickly. I have no problems with the dealer who I placed my order and deposit with except the time it will take to get my MINI (July-September of 2003!) My dealer has excellent customer service (I call them weekly to see if there's anything I can do to speed up the process and they are great about it) and they are NOT selling over MSRP. If you can get me a MINI sooner than the above mentioned time frame without jacking up the MSRP via "dealer required add-ons", please contact me and we can work out the details.
9 months?
i bought a cooper and then i told dealer that i wanted a
"s" to join other in the garage, they took the order and build date in oct
del date dec/jan
and that was just two weeks ago, placing the order
i'm not going to push any dealer but try concord bmw
ops:
You should give MINI of Murray a try in Salt Lake City, UT.
They charge MSRP for all of their cars, no dealer add-ons, and no games. As of about a month ago their wait time for a custom MCS was about 4-6 months.
Thanks for the replies! I've already left messages at both dealerships and hope to hear back from them soon. Wish me luck! What's the cost of a plane ticket and two days off work (is that a cold I feel coming on?) when I could be enjoying my S that much sooner.
Just got off the phone with Karen in Salt Lake. They have a 6-8 month time frame for a Cooper S so it looks like I will be switching my deposit from NW MINI unless Concord can do it any quicker. Thanks to all for your comments about your experiences with your dealers.
