I noticed that my passenger seat belt bangs around on the b-pillar when not being used while going over bumpy roads. Makes a hollow banging sound. Has any one else noticed this? Any handy little fixes?

thanks!

I keep the passenger belt latched all the time. Mine also buzzes at the piller mount.

I thought about that...then realized people were gonna start asking why my seatbelt was already latched when they go to get in.

So i just went outside and realized that the seatbelt isn't hitting the b-pillar. The metal part is hitting the seatback as it wraps around the side of the seat. So i slid the plastic slider up high enuff so it held the clasp at a height were it hits the seat fabric instead.

I've noticed that mine will get pushed around when driving at speed with the windows open. The best fix I've found, other than engaging it, is to move the passenger seat forward a bit. For some reason this changes the wind pattern enough so that it doesn't make the seatbelt go flapping around. Try it and see if it works for you.

I have the sport seats. I move passenger seat most of the way back then rest the belt over support on the side of the back seat. Running the back roads in VA @ 50 to 60 MPH with the windows down and roof open (not now but spring summer and fall) the belt stays in place and does not make a sound. Driving with the belt buckled all the time is not an option as I often take my daughter to or from someplace or other. It would be a pain to latch and unlatch the belt all the time. If you do not have that constraint, latching the belt likely would work better.

Picked up my 03 MC 09/28/02 have 27k very happy miles on it now. Hope your car is as good to you.

John
