I don't have my MCS yet (I'm hoping it won't be sitting off the California coast for too long on the Medea, due 10/7) but I have a rubber chicken to hang from the rear view mirror and a flaming eyeball to put on the antenna.

Hey Clover
thanks for your response. It was much appreciated. The price was 10 bucks. Since it's a fix-it ticket, once you "fix" the problem and get it signed off by any police officer, you pay a nominal court processing fee. this was back in '94 so I'm sure it has increased in price so I don't know wwhat it would be now. I am fortunate because i know quite a few cops who would probably be willing to write the ticket off for me.

since i've last written you, I have a friend who's dad got a euro-style plate made for him with his license plate number on it and has that on his car. according to my friend, this place is in Pasadena (which is really close to me). Also, i'm going to visit my sister who, is married and lives in london, over Thanksgiving. I told her today that i needed her to look for Mini dealerships and such so i can do some shopping for accessories for my car. Shall I pick you up anything?
thanks again...skrutzen

Just a side note... those clear side lights are not street legal. So dont have em on, when the fuzz is around.

Right!

I just switched my amber side-marker lenses for clear ones. The kit included amber bulbs.

I have a mini version of my car that I plan to hang from my rearview mirror if I can get it to hang right.. It's one of those diecast type cars...only its super small!

Not sure of what else I might put in it.

Anyone know how to get a Euro plate in the VA area??

The most convenient place to buy european license plates is probably eBay...

I bought my Euro plate at https://www.mattman-enterprises.com/pl8inventory.html
I had it custom made to match the numbers on my PA Plate.
You can have it made with whatever characters you like.
They did a great job and it was a goo deal. I paid about $50 total with the plate, mounting holder, and shipping. I had to have my dealer show me how to install it since you basically have to take the current US plate holder off the front of your MINI with a screwdriver and pop that piece completely off to mount a Euro plate.
I highly recommend this site. They did a great job!!!

Gee...I'd better get to work! THe only thing I added to my MINI was the MINI barf bag which I bought off of ebay (too ashamed to admit how much I paid). I keep the barf bag in the back pocket of the passenger seat.

I don't leave anything in my MINI (Cooper S) that isn't tied or stuck down. I can't imagine what would happen to that lunch box while taking a left turn at 60. Whooa, might break a window.
Since I have a white roof with no sunroof I have thought about adding a roof decal. I found a screen-printing place that will custom make a red & black Scotland lion decal sized for the roof. I think that would look great and would match my Scottish heritage. Plus if I do it I doubt if I'd ever see another MINI like mine.

What-chu-talkin-bout greatgro? The dealer gave me a MINI barf bag for free. Also gave me some MINI branded mints, a numbered T-shirt and 2 MINI shaped unscented "air-fresheners", and other branded stuff. Sounds like you got ripped.

I got the air freshener and barf bag free too, but no mints or shirt. Guess it depends on what yu dealer has. As for stuff Ive added to my mini, I have a mini logo decal on the back, custom plates that read "antsmini", and a little "bobble head mini me" from austin powers on the dash.

I recently got a plush MINNIE MOUSE for my MCS. She sits in the back seat with her seatbelt on of course. She has to because otherwise whe would fly around like MADONNA in that BMW film.

So far I've put a UJ flag license plate on the front of my Mini, I have a small classic Mini toy car on my dash and I have a customized license plate that says
UK COOPR, and i have a sticker on my back window that says England and has the crest with the 3 lions on it.

The stuff you get seriousally depends on the dealer... All i got were some crummy Smints, and their keychains.. granted, they are nice keychains, round, chrome looking metal, a MINI logo on a metal sticker on one side, and the dealer name/ph # on the other, but other than that, nada... I'm not bitching, for the only dealership on this side of my state (the rest are in NYC), a $500 'TLC' package fee and MSRP isn't half bad...

>>I did place the UJ ontop of the car/sunroof [url=www.northamericanmotoring.com/modules.php?

Is the UJ see through on the sunroof? or solid? I like the monochromatic scheme

I've got a Star Wars stormTrooper action Figure donated by my youngest son
