Well folks, after only 800 miles of driving, I'm putting Blue away for the winter. I've got a nice barn to keep her dry, and I've got a nice OEM cover to keep her clean.

My question to all you fine MINI-acs is should I do anything to prep the car for its short winter nap?

i put away my weekend car during the winter each year, but
every time its dry i try to drive it for 30min-1hour to charge up
the battery, cycle the A/C, and rid any flat spots on the tires.

basically all you need to do is fillup the gas, give it a good
wash and wax. Drive a good 15-20min to rid any water between
the panels and door jam. wipe her down, pressure up the
tires to 38-40psi, get a cover (if you have one).

You might need a battery charger if you dont plan to run
the car at all during the next couple of months.

Ditto. After 11k + miles, I still can't get over how I enjoy readjusting my seat each and every time before I set out on whatever errand or commute ahead of me, and since it's now approaching winter, most start-ups also include pushing the little button to heat my seat. I recently had to drive to Portland to pick up my son at the airport and because he had traveled w/ a bike, we didn't take the Cooper. I lost 4 hours of seat time to my wife's Honda, and I was truly bummed about it.
