hi everyone, I haven't bought my MINI quite yet but I'm hoping to before the new year , but i need to keep the costs down a little, so i was wondering, what are the differences between the aero kit and the "stock" kit on an MCS, does anyone have any pictures showing the differences?
Thank you in advance, I can't wait to become part of this great community   .

Hi Brad, we are all very fortunate to have nam for our enjoyment but also as a source of information. I'm not very good at the computer thing so I can't offer you images that display the difference between the aero or standard looks. Perhaps the search function can be useful in finding your answer. I do remember getting a brochure at the dealership that had the aero body kit, wheel and many other options that are available for the mini. The mini is a fun car to drive, it will change your life. Good luck.

check out the interior & exterior mods section.

if you want to keep the costs down, keep the factory look and perhaps
paint the black moldings when you got more cash to burn. looks good too.

if you wanna see bigger picts of my car with the aero kit, check out my cheezy

Here is a picture from Promini on the aerokit installed for the MCS and MC

http://www.promini.com/products/aerokit.shtml

If you go to the member's gallery you can find lots of pictures of stock MC and MCS to compare with.

Compared to the stock kit the aerokit provides the following:
Front bumper-keeps all lights but has less smooth lines with slightly more aggresive contour. Has all black plastic grille pieces for the lower bumper (2 pieces) and bonnet grille. In MC you loose the raised body color or chrome bumper guards as well as the europlate holder indention. The aero front grille comes with an aero US license plate holder that fits lower than the standard holder and is more recessed onto the bumper itself. Many choose to omit the holder altogether and leave the bumper smooth.
side skirts- sports a side lower grille opening near the rear wheelwell. The MC or MCS metal lower doorjam panels are replaced with body color panels.
rear bumper: available for both MC (side exhaust) and MCS models. Has replaced black plastic lower grills on the MCS with white grille stickers. Raised body or chrome color bumper guards on MC bumper are replaced with smooth surface.
