R50/53 Any tips on how to remove the steering rack?

Any tips on how to remove the steering rack?
Having a bare of a time with it since it is so tight in there on my 03 MCS.
After getting most of the stuff removed it looks like I will need to drop the subframe?
Has anyone tackled replacing the steering rack, or have a bently manual and could let me know before I start dropping the subframe?
