I was talking to the dealer where I bot my Mini, he told me after the 1200 - 1300 mileage that the on board computer changes some of the timing and air mixture and I will notice a change, (even faster) Anyone out there notice any difference, Thanks

I did not really notice, but then again I did not drive it hard before 1200 miles. This sounds like a line because I do not remember the loaner with 600 miles being any slower, and I did drive it hard.

Our '02 Cooper CVT at 18,000+ miles feels stronger and way faster than when it was new. Of course 3 different ECU updates really helped in iron out some of the performances issues of the car and made it feel like how a car equipped with a 1600cc engine should feel.

My new '04 MCS is nearing the "magic" 1,250 mile mark and I am eager to unwind it more once I get there.
