R50/53 Generic Oil Filters?

Don't do it I tried aftermarket filters and all i got was grief the after
market o-ring is not the same size as oem.check out MossMini their oem
filter is something like 9 bucks

I do have some oil on the underside of the car. Is there anything that can be harmed from that? or can I just let mothernature/my next car wash take care of it?

Oil can cause rubber parts to prematurely degrade, I'd go to a car wash and soap up the underneath and rinse well.
