I'm thinking of ordering a Mini S with black body and black roof. Anybody out there have one? Would like to see a picture if anyone has one available. Any Comments? Has anyone seen one?

I have ordered an All Black MINI. There is a picture of one in the Gallery under Member Minis. Scroll all the way to the end. The picture should be on page 48. I expect delivery in November.

I don't think you can order the "S" with all black. I think it has to have contrasting colors. If you have a black painted body then you will have the white roof & mirors. I'm quite sure the Mini Cooper can go all black, but not the "S".

I won't doubt you on that. When I said I ordered a MINI in black I did mean the Cooper and not the S. Sorry if I was not clear Gatorman.

In the 2002 Brochure under solid colors for jet black they show the body color available with body color roof for both models. Also, under metallic colors they show cosmos black with body colored roof available for both models. Does anyone have this solid black S model? Would like to know how they like it and maybe see a picture.

I haven't seen an all black S but I have seen an all black Cooper with green interior.
REALLY SHARP!
Although....call me old fashioned....I think the MINIs look best with the contrasting colors....looks more authentic to me. From afar, the all black looks like a regular car.

 

sure you can order the "S" with all black, just like any other colors that you can order with "body color option"
for the roof and side mirrors. contrasting roof/mirrors is just an option, the only thing that you cant do is
to order a pure silver "S" with a white roof, you can either get a pure silver with pure silver roof or a black
roof.

the reason why some of you still havent seen a black "S" or BRG (british racing green) or indi-blue "S"
is because those 3 colors are only available on the 2003 models and the factory just started making
the 2003 models this month, so most of them are being enrouted to the dealers outside england
as we speak, though, i am sure you could spot some of them in england already.

by the way, a black "S" is smoking hot!!!
