Oil Filter Tech...

This appears to me to be a much higher quality oil filter than what I bought online, and from what I've seen everywhere else online.

Anyone have any experience with them?

Well, it seems that Mahle, Mann, and Wix filters are all top quality filters.

Thanks - are you saying I can get this filter (below) at a NAPA Store? -->

I've never tried to buy one there. But it seems like someone found them at a NAPA store.

The filter in the picture you have a link to is actually an M3 filter. I've seen many cars use cheap filters and have the orings leak or the filter not allow the car to make oil pressure.

Stick with the OEM and you won't have problems, otherwise go with the Mahle.
OEM filters aren't bad in price.

Man alive. Seems to be a great deal of confusion surrounding MINI's and parts ... to include filters, motor oil(s)/etc./etc./etc.

I'm no engineer, but the Mahle clearly appears to be of superior quality design/construction (metal end-caps and an additional/extra screen surrounding the paper element).

Please don't get me wrong - I do greatly appreciate your reply here, but the OEM seems inferior, to me, compared to the Mahle ("M3") filter IMHO.

Thanks again,
g...

It was just a generic image on the site. They'd send you a MINI filter. The M3 is just a popular car, and probably their top customer car.
