R50/53 Wish I Had A MINI On My Vacation
Well, I am back from a nice 2 week vacation in the New England area. Let me tell you, I was driving around some of the roads in New Hampshire and Vermont when it hit me. Whoa! I wish I was in a MINI right now. Those curvy roads winding left and right, up and down and corkscrew turns were awesome!! I can only imagine how much fun they would be in a MINI. In my area of Southeastern Virginia, our roads are pretty flat, straight and boring. But, man up in the New England area there are some seriously fun roads! I didn't see any MINI's while I was up there. Mostly just a bunch of Subaru's. It was kind of eerie how many Subaru's are up there. Anyway, once I get my MINI, I'm definately going to tackle some sweet mountain roads!
Just come back from British Invasion weekend at Stowe, VT.
We drove route 108 out of Stowe TWICE because it has great windy bits and nice scenery too.
Driving back today we used 14 instead of I89 - not quite so twisty but still much more fun than plain old highway.
At British Invasion there were five new MINIs in the car park (my GBMINI plated Black MINI was parked next to a silver/gray with MINIME plate!)
Inside the show were about four new MINIs, surrounded by more than 10 classic Minis and loads of MGs, Healeys, etc, etc.
Fun!
