It is hard to describe what sounds cars make on words, but I will try. On my '06 MINI R50, with 28000, when I accelerate from a stop there is a BARWWWWWWWAAAAA noise. It's not a metallic sound but an airy sound. It is also not as peppy as it was from a stop. I am taking it for a trans flush here soon.

 

BARWWWWWAAA is not in my automotive dictionary so perhaps you could indicate from whence the BARWWWWWAA is coming and if it remains after the acceleration period????

 

It sounds like it is coming from the front left. It goes away after acceleration.

 

Sounds like an air intake hose leak
