Well my mechanical passion is just now being hauled off to the local BMW dealership's body shop for some cosmetic surgery and a breast implant !
I've decided that the MINI gods have shown that their will is for Betty to have the Orciari body kit installed instead of just getting the factory parts replaced. I still have yet to hear what her total damages are. Im very much hoping that nothing in the drivetrain was damaged from the collision. I was able to drive her home and everything sounded/looked/smelled/felt to be in order.... I have just heard so many stories of cars never being right again after an accident... Is there anything that I should tell the body shop/repair guys to check that they might not think to look at??

Despite several horror stories I have heard about dealing with Allstate insurance my experience thus far has been quite professional and pleasing. They are even cool with the body kit, as long as it is equal to or less than the factory parts, or Im willing to pay the difference. So far so good. If my car isnt back to me in time to go to the Florida pulley party Im going to have a Psycotic episode :evil:

Thanks Xan, I guess I have been pretty lucky... 29 years and this is my first accident. Oh well, maybe my baby will come out looking like a million bucks.
