I went to the dealer in Sterling VA and they told me the wait time for a build date on an S is 12-14 months and only 4 months for delivery of a Cooper. Is anyone else seeing this? I ended up putting down a deposit for one of each figuring I would sell the Cooper when the S came in(unless my wife decides to keep it).

With resale in mind what kind of options would anyone suggest for the Cooper and what color? I'm thinking of the Indi Blue with both Sport and Premium packages.

 

Seems pretty accurate but if you shop around or pester the hell out of your dealer sometimes pre-spec or last minute cancelled orders come around. Be flexable with your options and you'll be in one before you know it. Just don't get your heart set on Xenon lamps, the HK stereo, or the heated windshield. They'll hold up your car.

 

The wait for a mini S in my area is at most 9 months, built exactly the way that I want it.
