I have a clear bra on Zippy.... It has done a great job. Chances are if the lower hood area does not look like it has been sand blasted, the privious owner had a bra, and the dealer stripped it off. It is a very wise invesment... the bra that is... in my opinion get the upper only.... the lower just covers the bumper and is not worth the money.
The new Second gen MINI does have it's supporters, but driving is a bit more of generic car ride, and you feel much less connected with the road. It has been said that our cars have a bit of a raw feeling, and many of us like the feeling, and a few have bought gen 2's and gone back to a used 06'...add to that the array of problems with the turbo eng, and we my have the best of both worlds!!! New is nice.... The sport button is nice... You get the pic... I like the gen 2 also, but $$$$$, makes the swap tough!! But in the end all MINI's are a blast to drive and own. Enjoy!!! I have it scheduled to get the upper only. It definitely did not have a bra on it as there are a couple of small rock chips in it. I am sure it was used as a low speed city car. The plastic bumper helps absorb most of the impacts so I feel only the upper is really necessary as well. it is expensive though! i much agree about the ride on the gen2 new minis. the ride isnt as raw and that is what I love about my beastie. rides like a race car lol.
