Hi. I wonder if anyone might can help me. I am looking online at an '04 MCS for sale that has an '05-type 3 spoke later generation steering wheel but it has no radio or cruise buttons on it. The car is listed as having cruise but if so, how do you control it?

My guess is that it is a mistake in the listing, and the car doesn't actually have cruise. There are no aftermarket cruise kits available for the MINI because of the complexity of integration to the car's electronics. I've heard of someone who installed a racing steering wheel and relocated the cruise buttons to the dash, but it wasn't easy.

 

I am new to Mini's and want to add cruise to my 02 I just bought. It has the horn only steering wheel. I saw this old post. Is that still the case? Is there a good aftermarket cruise? I did see a 2 spoke MFSW for sale but did not know what additional components would be needed? Any suggestions?

 

The MINI's throttle is electronic- there is no physical connection, such as a cable, between the throttle and pedal. Thus, an aftermarket cruise, if it exists, would seem to me to be extremely difficult to set up. I would like one myself, so if I find it, I'll let you know!
