R50/53 Get to drive 200 miles to Roadshow, coolant leak...........
My month old MC has a coolant leak. The worse thing is it was leaking when I picked the car up. There were white spots of stuff under the bonnet but in my excitement to pick up the car I failed to pursue this as a potential problem. I added water once to the overflow bottle and the level is down again. I'm not exactly sure where the leak is, except it's the overflow bottle or something near it. I thought the leaking coolant bottle was only only on the MCS....guess not.
Maybe I'll get my daytime driving lights programmed while I'm there. Anybody know if there's a new update for the engine control computer? My 03 was built the week of 8-22-03.

My 2003 also appeared to be leaking when I first picked it up. I read all the threads that seemed to indicate a problem with the overflow bottle, and planned to go back to the dealer to have it fixed. However, I discovered that the cap was not screwed on really tight. So, before you drive back to the dealer give the cap a good twist and see if that does not take care of what appears to be a leak.
cheers,
Paul

I think Paul has a -S and iwanna has an MC.
Complelety different overflow bottle design.
The -S has a pressurized bottle which can leak in early
build vehicles.
The MC has an atmospheric-pressure bottle that is much less
likely to leak.
